Christmas is over, and it was awesome. The kids had so much fun, and it was so exciting to watch their anticipation.
We started our festivities at Matt's parents the Sunday before Christmas. Reese enjoyed playing Santa Claus and passing out the gifts. Charlie didn't know what presents were, but he sure did by the time we left! :)
I really wish I could remember what everyone was so excited about here!
Reese enjoyed finishing up her Santa beard Christmas countdown. She glued a cotton ball onto Santa's beard each day until we reached Christmas. It really saved my sanity since she doesn't really have a concept of time yet. :)
My parents came over on Christmas Eve. We had a nice meal and lots of fun.
Charlie loves to spin in circles, and he makes this awesomely hilarious face when he's doing it. It's fantastic.
Charlie looooooves toast. My parents got him this play toaster, and he is obsessed with making toast now.
We got to Face Time my sister and her family. Thank goodness for modern technology when family is far away. :)
I'm not sure what my parents were doing when they took this picture, but the kids are clearly terrified.
After a late night in Princeton on Christmas Eve, we woke up to discover that Santa had visited us overnight. He brought Reese the dollhouse she had asked for, and she was thrilled. Seeing her face on Christmas morning was priceless.
Santa brought Charlie this tool bench, which may have been a terrible idea since most of the pieces could easily be weapons in the wrong hands (a.k.a. Charlie's hands).
Charlie is really into giving hugs right now, and seeing Reese and Charlie hug each other is the BEST. THING. EVER. I can't even explain how this melts my heart.
Poor Bailey has a hot spot on her ear and has been sentenced to the cone while the sore heals. Reese and Charlie enjoyed decorating it for her.
We rung in the new year by having friends over last night, and today was a very much deserved lazy day after our crazy running around for the last week. We stayed in pajamas and watched movies and snuggled for much of the day, and it was wonderful.
Happy New Year!!!!!
