October!

Has another month really come and gone?  I wish I could find the pause button.  These kids are changing so much so fast.  Charlie turned 4 months old (and will be 5 months old in 5 days!).  We were just at the pediatrician this week, and he weighed in at 18 lbs, 14 ounces.  I know I've said it a million times, but seriously, this kid is huge!  He is such a happy little guy.

We went to Galena with Matt's family over Columbus Day weekend, as we have for the past few years.  We had a great time, and I took advantage of the beautiful fall colors to get some pictures of the kiddos.

Charlie is changing so much.  He is always moving and is so strong.  He can roll both ways now, and when he's on his belly, he pushes up and moves his legs like he wants to crawl.  I won't be surprised if he's an early mover!  All of his hair has fallen out (except for this awkward ring around the bottom), and he's getting his first tooth.  He smiles and laughs all the time.  When his big sister walks into the room, he lights up like a Christmas tree.  No one can make him laugh as hard as she does.  It melts my heart.  Matt took this video of her acting silly to make him laugh the other day:

My snuggle bug.

We painted pumpkins for Halloween, and Reese really enjoyed it!  Much more fun than her watching us carve one for her.

Reese was our little ladybug for Halloween.

Charlie was Charlie Brown. :)

Seriously.  He is so happy!

We took her trick or treating for the first time last night.  It was so sweet to watch her.  Such anticipation as she went to each door.  Such excitement seeing all of the other kids walking around in costume.  She was so polite and told everyone thank you when they gave her the candy.  She had so much fun.

Reese amazed us the other night when we realized that she has memorized Hop On Pop by Dr. Seuss.  We have definitely been reading it a lot at bedtime, but we had no idea she had committed it to memory.  We had to get it on video.  Enjoy!
