June!

June started off great! Audrina had a salon birthday party, full of fancy dress up, hair styles, nail painting, and all things girly. Reese had a blast!

Charlie learned to mop the floors (as a result of his love for walking around the house with yogurt). haha

Charlie got to create a birthday board to share his life with his classroom for his birthday. We went through hundreds (thousands?) of pictures together, and he picked his favorites to share with his class. He and Reese really enjoyed putting his project together.

We enjoyed a family party at Matt's cousin's house. Reese found two inch worms and let them crawl on her for several hours of the get together.

Turns out, she doesn't mind spiders either.

Charlie turned FOUR!!!!!

He got a Spiderman bike for his birthday.

And he requested a campfire.

The kids love visiting the library, and our local branch has this great Green Eggs and Ham statue.

We had a rainy day, and the kids wanted to jump in puddles with their rain boots. It was about 1000x messier than I expected, but they had a blast. :)

My sister's family came home to visit for 2 weeks, and we had so much fun. It was so great to see all of the kids together.

Austin was amazing with Bailey. He knew she was old and tired, and needed extra care, and he totally gave it to her. He kept propping her head up with pillows, covering her up with blankets, and snuggling with her. She loved it. <3 p="">

We had the kids' birthday party while the Murrays were home. They chose a pirate theme, and it was a ton of fun!

The kids enjoyed time playing at my parents' house together.

We headed to the splash pad after a rain storm, and we had the whole place to ourselves. It was fantastic!

We enjoyed a great evening and picnic at Knoch Knolls Park. Austin even got a little meditation time in. :)

We borrowed a telescope from Matt's parents because we really wanted to look at the moon, and show the kids. Matt and I really enjoyed it.

However, Reese was seriously disappointed that she couldn't see astronauts on the moon. Apparently, she was really counting on that.

We spent Father's Day at Lincoln Park Zoo.

Bailey turned 14 on June 22nd. This birthday called for a big celebration, with her very first cupcake. She enjoyed it. :)

Matt and I took an anniversary trip to Seattle. We wanted to explore a city we hadn't visited before, and we loved it!

There were tons of breweries to explore.

We loved the funky grunge vibe.

The views of the harbor were beautiful. This was our view from our first breakfast.

We took a ferry to an island across from Seattle. The ride had amazing views of the city.

We really enjoyed Bainbridge Island. It was very quaint and quiet, with some great coffee shops and winery tasting rooms. Perfect afternoon.

We loved Pike's Place Market. It's so eclectic, with a fun vibe.

We went to a Mariner's game, but didn't last long in the scorching outfield heat.
It's a great park though!

One of the best things we experienced was our trip to Snoqualmie Falls. It's about 30 minutes outside the city, and it is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the view and the hike.

Seattle is the home of Starbucks.  Matt really wanted to visit the Starbucks Reserve, and while I wasn't very interested when he first suggested it, it turned out to be really cool. We got to see how they process and roast the coffee bean, and how they preserve the quality of their coffee.  The coffee we had there, straight from the reserve, and ground fresh, was delicious!

Post Alley. Our favorite dining destination.

A trip to Seattle wouldn't have been complete without a photo walk around the space needle. ;)

We had a delicious crab leg anniversary lunch. It's hard to believe we've been married 8 years already!

The gum wall in Pike's Market was equally disgusting and awesome.

We attended the Pride parade on Sunday. It was so much fun. It was awesome to see the huge support for the LGBTQ community.

The famous fish throwing market. So fun to watch.

I loved the Seattle ferris wheel. So pretty at night!

The kids attended summer camp together at Charlie's Montessori school, and they both had a blast. They enjoyed their individual activities, as well as the opportunity to be together. It was great for them.

Charlie picks random objects of affection that he insists of sleeping with. For several days after his birthday party, it was the Batman car he received as a gift.

Charlie found some lip gloss in the backseat on our way to Target.

Story time with daddy is always fun, but his Scooby Doo voices had them really cracking up.

We had a great Father's Day dinner to celebrate dad.

Reese asks for a picture with the statue every time we go.

Reese and I used my Mother's Day gift certificate to get mommy/daughter pedicures. I'd say she loves them as much as I do.

And I think that wraps up June!
