April

Well, as usual, our photos uploaded in reverse order, so we will start from the end of April and work our way toward the beginning!  On April 30th, Matt's nephew, Dustin, married my favorite new niece, Lindsay. ;) Their daughter, Clementine was the flower girl, and they invited Reese and Charlie to be flower girl and ring bearer as well, and gave them the very important responsibility of pulling Clem down the aisle in a wagon. The ceremony was scheduled to be outside, but since it turned out to be a crazy rainy day, the ceremony was moved indoors. It was still beautiful, all of the kids did great and had an absolute blast tearing up the dance floor, and we are so happy to officially have Lindsay part of the family.

Charlie got a little nervous during reception introductions and just made a weird face at Reese while they walked in. haha

Our little chef made us banana muffins. And ate all of them. haha

Reese and I started the Junie B. Jones series at the beginning of kindergarten. By then end of kindergarten, she had started reading the books on her own. She got up early one morning to finish the final book because she said she kept dreaming about it and couldn't wait to see how it ended. She is seeming so grown up these days.

Charlie's school had a book fair, and he absolutely insisted on getting himself a cookbook. Like, there was NO convincing him of anything else. He spent the entire next day looking at the pictures and recipes. The boy loves his food.

He decided he wanted to make smoothies. And he enjoyed them very much.

Matt took off a random Friday, and we spent the day at the Naperville Riverwalk. It was such a nice and relaxing family day. The kids picked TONS of dandelions (which are my favorite flower, just ask Charlie, haha), and made sure they got plenty of water in the fountain.

We surprisingly had a free Sunday afternoon, and the weather was gorgeous, so we visited Cantigny Park. It was absolutely beautiful, and the kids had a blast. We can't wait to go back!

Charlie and I started doing a puzzle one afternoon to keep ourselves busy while we waited for the bus. One thing led to another, and eventually, Reese and Charlie decided to see how many puzzles they could fill our entryway with. It keep them busy for a couple hours!

Our sweet old pup is struggling these days, but she never misses bedtime and story time.
