The kids were being very quiet one Sunday, and we found them like this. Melt. My. Heart.

Overall, we have really escaped the winter sickness bugs, but we had one week that got us down. Ear infections and pink eye for both kids, and bronchitis for Charlie. The poor boy wouldn't even take his hat off in the house.

Jacqi's family gave Reese Goldiblox for Christmas, and she has really enjoyed figuring out how it works. It's a building activity that encourages an interest in physics and engineering concepts in young kids (and is geared toward girls), and it's really cool to see the things she creates!

Fun library play date with friends!
Matt and I enjoyed a fun date night in making sushi. It turned out great!
Reese was very excited to sign her Valentines for her classmates.
I was so thankful to be able to volunteer for the Valentines parties at both schools. I'm so thankful to was offered the opportunity, and that my mom hung out with Charlie in the afternoon so I could juggle both!
On Valentine's Day, we went and visited my dad at his store. It was their grand opening celebration, and they had a balloon artist and face painting for the kids. It was awesome, and the kids were so excited to visit Grandpa at work!

When we got home, we sent the kids on a scavenger hunt to find their Valentine's Day gifts. They (Reese) had a blast following the clues. Once they were done,we made white chocolate fondue, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it!

When we were all finished, Reese surprised us with a scavenger hunt. It was pretty much the cutest.
I have NO idea why these two pictures are upside down.
Our good friends are involved in our local high school's Robotics program. Our babysitter is a part of it as well, so we were excited to go and support their fundraiser. The kids thought it was so cool to see the robots. Reese got to drive a robot that shoots basketballs, and she shot and made two baskets! It was awesome to see the high school kids encourage and teach her. She was so proud.

After the fundraiser, we headed to the city because the weather was so gorgeous. We walked around, enjoyed some great food, and hung out at Maggie Daly's playground. It was a great day!
We have an awesome local Italian grocery store, and Charlie LOVES going there. Mostly because they have carts for kids. Which makes grocery shopping SO EASY (not really at all).
February is Dental Health Month, and Reese's teacher invited me into the classroom to teach the kids about dental health. It was SO FUN!!!!
We went to another Bulls game, and took friends along!
It's hard to tell in this picture, but Charlie had a week where he refused to take his winter hats off. He wore them all day long, including to bed. This is him (in our bed, of course) in the morning, still sleeping in his hat.
We haven't had much snow this winter, so Reese was very excited when she got off the bus this day. She went right from the bus to making snow angels and eating snow in the front yard!

Our gal pal loves board games. And I love playing them with her. Because I really stink at playing things that require imagination.

It's rare (although occurring more recently!) when Charlie gets completely engrossed and focused on an activity, but when he does, it is SO cute to watch. I love it!

And lastly, Reese and Matt attended their first dance. It was pretty much the sweetest thing in the history of ever. She was SO excited, and so was he. They had a great time.
