Well, it's been a couple weeks since the last blog update. Reese ended up getting sick after Christmas with an ear infection & bronchitis. The poor girl was miserable (and so was my mom after she got it from her). I didn't have any pictures to share until now because it was impossible to hold the camera & constantly wipe her poor runny nose. And, as adorable as we still thought she looked, I'm not sure that anyone else would enjoy pictures of our baby covered in boogers. We felt so bad for her. Thankfully, she is feeling much better after a round of antibiotics. I really wish that she hadn't needed them at such a young age, but I'm very glad that she feels better.

Reese has been trying to eat everything in sight lately. It is her mission to get everything she sees into her mouth. Her favorite "chew toy" has become her big toe. She loves her feet, & she sucks her big toe every chance she gets.

She is also trying to eat us. We are very scared. One of us is going to lose a limb. She keeps grabbing our faces & trying to eat our cheeks or noses. It's pretty comical.

She starts out all nice and sweet...just a nibble.

And then, she tries to take it off. As you can tell from Matt's expression, she can bite pretty hard with those gums!

So, since this girl is apparently starving, we decided that it was time to start introducing some solid food. It was a little bittersweet feeding her solids for the first time. She has gone from 6lbs, 4oz to 16lbs, 14oz on breast milk alone, & I'm pretty darn proud of that! We started giving her a little bit of rice cereal every night for the last week. It's been really cute watching her get used to the spoon. She definitely likes the cereal, but she still isn't eating much (a couple teaspoons a night). These were the first two feedings:

Her hair has gotten longer & it's super curly lately, & these last few pictures really show how crazy it's getting!
